A claim is anything a reader could reasonably ask "how do you know?" about. The editor spots most of them and asks you to attach a source.
Before you submit, each claim in the checklist must:
- Have at least one source attached.
- Say how certain it is: "most studies find", not "it is proven".
- Match its source: the same numbers, years and units.

Round numbersRound only as far as the source allows, and keep the year.
CausationSay "is linked to" unless the study shows cause.
